Another Year begins
Hello Families!
Wow, I can't believe the first week of school has finished.
It was a wonderful summer. My family went to Tennessee to stay at my parent's lake house, Brett (Mr. Taylor) and I went to Mexico (you can see us repelling into a xanote below), and we had a great time catching up with friends at our house. Our garden project went well. We grew HUGE sunflowers (the picture doesn't do them justice), plenty of herbs, and I've learned a lot about what you can do with a plethora of tomatoes. All in all, it was one of the better summers and I come into the new school year relaxed and rejuvenated.
It was a great week seeing all my repeating students and meeting our new ones. We have some challenges to face this year and I'm sure we will meet them with creativity and support of each other.
I'm going to continue the blog spot this year and posting songs, dances, and examples of work in the classroom. I don't mention specific names or teachers (just grade levels). As always, if you do not want your student included please fill out the no posting form and I will respect your wishes.
Thank you PTA for funding the new electric keyboard in my classroom. It's smaller, always tunes, and much easier to move around!
Have a wonderful school year and please stop by the music room to say hi!
